What are the advantages of the stamping manufacturing process for hardware parts?

1、 Technological advantages of metal stamping

(1) The metal stamping parts are manufactured by stamping on the premise of low data consumption. Their parts are light in weight and good in rigidity. After the sheet metal passes through plastic deformation, the arrangement structure inside the metal is improved, and the strength of the stamping parts is improved.

(2) Hardware stamping parts have high dimensional accuracy, uniform and common dimensions of the same module, and good interchangeability. The general device and application requirements can be satisfied without further machining.

(3) During the stamping process, because the appearance of the data is not damaged, it has good appearance quality and beautiful appearance, which provides convenient conditions for surface painting, electroplating, phosphating and other surface treatment.

2、 Material selection of metal stamping

There are three main stamping processes: blanking, bending and stretching. Different processes have different requirements for plates. The selection of materials should also be considered according to the approximate shape of products and processing technology.

(1) Blanking requires that the plate should have enough plasticity to ensure that the plate does not crack during blanking. The soft material has good blanking performance, and the workpiece with smooth section and small inclination can be obtained after blanking; The quality of hard materials after blanking is poor, and the section unevenness is large, especially for thick plates. For brittle materials, tearing is easy to occur after blanking, especially when the width is very small.

(2) The plates to be bent shall have sufficient plasticity and low yield limit. The plate with high plasticity is not easy to crack when bending. The plate with lower yield limit and lower elastic modulus has small rebound deformation after bending, and it is easy to obtain the bending shape with accurate size. The material with greater brittleness must have a larger relative bending radius when bending, otherwise it is easy to crack during bending.

(3) The drawing of sheet metal, especially the deep drawing, is one of the more difficult parts in the sheet metal processing process. It not only requires the drawing depth to be as small as possible, the shape to be as simple and smooth as possible, but also requires the material to have good plasticity, otherwise it is very easy to cause the overall distortion of the part, local wrinkling, and even the tensile crack of the drawing part.

3、 Oil selection for metal stamping

The stamping oil plays a key role in the stamping process, and the good cooling performance and extreme pressure and anti-wear performance have made a qualitative leap in the service life of the die and the improvement of the workpiece accuracy. According to the different material of the workpiece, the performance of the stamping oil is also different when selecting.

(1) Silicon steel plate is a relatively easy material for punching. Generally, for the purpose of workpiece cleaning, low viscosity punching oil will be selected on the premise of preventing punching burr.

(2) When selecting stamping oil for carbon steel plate, the better viscosity shall be determined according to the process difficulty, the method of drawing oil supply and degreasing.

(3) Due to the chemical reaction between galvanized steel sheet and chlorine series additives, attention should be paid to the possibility of white rust of chlorine type stamping oil when selecting the stamping oil for galvanized steel sheet, and the use of MINGXING sulfur type stamping oil can avoid the rust problem, but it should be degreased as soon as possible after stamping.

(4)Stainless steel plate is a material that is easy to harden, so it is required to use high oil film strength and anti-sintering tensile oil. Generally, stamping oil containing sulfur and chlorine compound additives is used to ensure extreme pressure performance and avoid burr, crack and other problems of the workpiece.
